Cost Effective “State of the Art” Leachate Treatment Plants (8 No. sites)
Arpley Leachate Treatment Plant
Waste Recycling Group (WRG) - 2000 to date.
This view shows the leachate treatment plant under construction. The three large tanks in line with the road are the aeration tanks. Between these the original "tank farm" is visible, with one leachate tanker loading and another waiting to take its place. The pair of smaller white concrete tanks are the feed balancing tanks for the new plant, and the single tank closer to the river is the effluent discharge balancing tank. To the right are the reed beds, which had at the time been part planted. The tank farm is used to blend incoming leachate.
