EFFORD LEACHATE TREATMENT PLANT

Location: Efford Landfill, Hampshire, England

Commissioned: Winter 2003.

This plant has been commissioned since this January. The design flow rate is 150 m³/day and the treated effluent is discharged to a public sewer.

Treatment is carried out in a tank-based biological aeration SBR, with polishing provided by a horizontal flow reed bed.
